A crowd favourite, Arts and Crafts is returning...This is a wonderful activity for those creative little kiddos! Does your child love to paint, create, cut, paste and colour? Then this is the class for them! Our instructor, Miss Celine has a new and exciting project to work on each week, and students are given a lot of creative freedom when it comes to interpreting their task for the session. This is where little artists can thrive, especially good for students who like to focus in on a task and enjoy working with their hands.

Hailing from Leiden, the team at Aan Zet Chess Lessons are excited to be joining the after school activity program once again at ISL! Gijs and his team of professional chess players will show children all of the tips and tricks to master this age old game! Chess is proven to promote cognitive development as well as encourage confidence, respect for one another and improves memory...what's not to love? A great session as we head in to the Autumn and Winter months! Join Gijs on Monday afternoons at Chess Club this term.

In this class, students will learn the ins and outs of the Musical Theatre world. Acting, singing and dancing the afternoon away is a great way to make new friends, build confidence and release stress. Kiddos will be singing all the way home! Hannah has a long history of both performing and directing in professional Musicals, and will share her passion for the art form throughout the term in an inclusive and fun environment. Singing techniques, and performance tips and tricks will be shared while creating a memorable choreography of a famous musical theatre piece.

In this class, students will learn basic food preparation such as hygiene, washing, peeling and chopping in a safe and supervised manner. We will create recipes using fresh ingredients and students can sample them at the end of each class! This is an engaging and yummy culinary class, where students can learn some handy tips and tricks for easy recipes that they can recreate at home. If your child suffers from any severe allergies, you must inform us before the start of the session.

Our ballet classes for children aged 4 to 7 are full of fun, imagination, and joyful movement. Each class is a playful adventure filled with music, storytelling, and gentle ballet inspired activities that keep little dancers smiling and moving. Classes are led by our warm and friendly teacher, Ms. Fumi, who holds a Classical Ballet Teaching Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance (UK). Every class is a new chance to explore, create, and have fun through movement and music. Children will shine with joy as they discover new ways to move, express themselves, and have fun with friends.

Fitness, friends and fun are the key themes of this after-school session. Come along to learn some new skills with our enthusiastic sports instructor Duco, in an energising and engaging environment. All classes will be focused on physical fitness exercises and games! We will also practice various ball skills, throwing, catching and dribbling. We have all the necessary equipment to make after-school a total blast and a perfect energy outlet! This session will be outdoors, so make sure your child has a good quality rain jacket...however if days are really rainy, we will head inside for some indoor activities.

Creative kiddos who love to work with their hands will thrive in this after school activity! Students can spend their afternoon sewing, knitting, stitching and decorating to their hearts content in this session with Celine, and have some beautiful handmade items to take home at the end of the term, such as scrunchies, keyring, jewellery and more! This activity is great for learning to focus, applying oneself and learning patience. Children will love the rewarding feeling this class can bring when using their own hand made item!

 Quick drying clay will be used for children to create useful items such as magnets and key chains over this 14 week course. Come and join Miss Celine who will be expertly guiding kids to mould, paint and create to their hearts content! This activity is excellent for children who love sensory play, creating art and focusing in on a task. Children can paint their creations and take home their little keepsakes at the end of the term! We use a special type of clay which can be hardened in a home oven, or also wet down to be remoulded into something else.

Our circus class for kids ages 8–11 is a fun, high-energy adventure where students learn exciting skills like juggling, balance, acrobatics, and clowning. Through games and creative challenges, kids build confidence, coordination, and teamwork—all while having a blast in a safe and supportive environment. No experience needed, just curiosity and a sense of fun!

Purely painting! Using different techniques and options such as finger painting, watercolours, sponging, stencils, stamping, on canvas and paper, you name it-we will be trying it out over 11 weeks. We will provide painting smocks, but please make sure your child comes to school in clothes that are ok to get messy on Mondays. Instructor Celine will be guiding students to create masterpieces and learn all about the different ways we can use paint to express ourselves! Celine is an art teacher and photographer who hails from France. She guides young artists with a flexible and encouraging approach.

Capoeira is a Brazilian art form which combines martial arts and dance. Brazilian native Mr. Pilao specialises in both Brazilian jiu jitsu as well as Capoeira and is thrilled to bring back his skills to ISL for another term. This class will combine both capoeira as well as elements of Jiu Jitsu. Children learn acrobatic tricks, martial arts and traditional music-making in this active after school session.

NEW SESSION

Jigsaws, puzzle games, magnet puzzles, Tetris blocks, word puzzles and riddles...Puzzles come in many forms, and we will be exploring as many of them as possible over this 12 week session. We will also have fun playing various games such as UNO, Twister, Card Games, Guess Who, Cluedo, and many more! Miss Fumi is a puzzling and Games enthusiast who is excited to share his passion with the students of ISL. We will ensure that there are puzzles and games of varying difficulty and technique for students to experience in an encouraging environment. A great place to relax in the afternoon and maybe make some new friends this Winter/Spring term!
